Agile architects: classical conductors or band member?

In the past architects tended to act like conductors of classical orchestras. They envisioned the architecture and told how things should be built. Is this approach still valid in agile organizations? Should architects act more like a band member and contribute from inside the team? In this talk I will share what we learned at Breuninger and what different architectural roles we have and how they work.
